Why is this even an issue? Seriously, why is Rowling bringing this up now that the series is over and the guy is dead?

to cause an uproar and piss people off, there could be no other reason. I didnt really ever notice him being gay so it makes no sense at all.

She might have brought this up to stir up interest in a series that is now over. People that might not have read the books but watched the movies might go out and buy a the books or the other way around. Or, as impossible as this sounds, people might not have heard of the books, but all the talk this might cause may get someones attention and interest them in buying the book.

And even if they are buying them just so they can burn them publicly, a sale is a sale.

LoL, the people who do that clearly indicate the level of intelligence associated with mobs.

Lynch them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
Seriously, he's dead in the books, no one even knew he was gay unless they thought really far into it. It's not a big deal at all, yet people are making it into one... Now if Harry was gay, that may be a different story.

Kind of like a kid's book turning into a more "mature readers" book. Also like the little kids who read the first book grow up too, while books are released over the many years.

As a gay guy myself, it's just way too amusing x]. I like badass gays, breaks with the uber-annoying effeminate stereotype.

Yeah. Starting by book 4 or 5 it really started taking a turn for the dark side.
TBH, I think that it was inappropriate that Rowling made those remarks and the timing wasn't that great either.

I think she was worth more than the Queen before book 6 came out, let alone book 7 and the couple movies since then. I believe she is the first billionaire writer and by the time the 7th movie comes out she might make a second billion.

Maybe she can write a prequel series about Dumbledore and his gay escapades.
Better yet, hire some graphic novel artists for a comic version.

I call B.S. on this...its just a ploy to sell more books....with so many people reading the books don't you guys think some one would have caught on to it before she said anything.
